Everything you need to know about applying for and receiving grants
from The Alison Bainbridge Grace Fund.
Eligibility Requirements
What organizations are eligible to apply?
To be eligible, your organization must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
nonprofit operating primarily within the Greater Houston
metropolitan area. You must have current tax-exempt
certification and demonstrate measurable community impact
through your programs and services.
Do you fund individuals or only organizations?
The Alison Bainbridge Grace Fund exclusively supports 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organizations. We do not provide grants to
individuals, for-profit entities, or organizations without
current tax-exempt status.
Is there a minimum organizational age or budget requirement?
No. We welcome applications from organizations of all sizes and
ages, from newly established nonprofits to well-established
institutions. Our staged grant approach is designed to support
organizations at different capacity levels.
Application Process
How long does the review process take?
It varies as we want to provide ample time for submissions. The
grant application stays open for 2 months. Once closed, we
select the recipients.
What information do I need to provide in my application?
Your application should include your organization's mission,
current programs, specific funding needs, measurable impact
metrics, and how the grant will advance your community work. We
also require current 501(c)(3) documentation and basic
organizational information.
Can I apply for multiple grants or reapply if denied?
Organizations may only receive one grant per funding stage.
However, you may reapply if your application is not selected,
and we encourage applying for higher-level grants as they become
available if your organizational capacity has grown.
Is there an application deadline?
Applications are open and close 2 months from the start date,
allowing ample opportunity to apply.
Grant Usage & Reporting
Are there restrictions on how grant funds can be used?
Grant funds must be used for nonprofit operations, programs, or
services that directly advance your mission and serve your
community. Funds cannot be used for political activities,
lobbying, or personal expenses.
What reporting is required after receiving a grant?
Recipients provide a simple impact report within 6 months
showing how funds were used and the community outcomes achieved.
This helps us share success stories and continually improve our
grant program effectiveness.
Do you provide any support beyond funding?
Yes! Grant recipients receive featured placement on our
platform, helping increase visibility and community connections.
We also provide ongoing partnership support and may connect you
with other resources and organizations in our network.
